Live in a big city or in a small university town ?
A lot of students ask if it is better to study in a big city or live in a smaller university town ? The answer depends on what features you prefer to focus on.
Depending on whether you want to have a hectic lifestyle, going out with friends until late at night and not having to worry about transport to get home – or, whether you want to have a quieter lifestyle, the choices are very different.

Living in a big city certainly has the advantage of offering many more festive activities to relax, easy transport, etc. But taking into account the fact that the academic side of student life requires a lot of concentration and a certain amount of simplicity (in relation to the modest financial resources of students), it makes more sense for students to live, if possible, in a small town.
Small towns have the advantage of enabling students to enjoy facilities which correspond better to "student" budgets : accommodation and food prices are more affordable than in large cities, transport is generally less expensive and traffic less congested (for example, you can get home faster).
Given the often modest budget that most students generally have, the above examples should be sufficient to convince them, when they have the choice with equal academic or professional opportunities - to opt for a student life further away from large cities.
